Commission management

Commission management is very specific to each client and needs to be discussed with Augtool to setup and develop the feature set accordingly. Please contact Augtool to setup your commission rules to use this feature in a more automated way. 

Currently you can only manually set the commission on each document on the line item popup of an item as you can see below.

Commission payable report

This is where the power of commission management really comes together. Commission management is done similarly like how your vat is processed. Many clients have various rules about how and when to pay commission to sales people and how clawbacks should work. 

For example, some clients only pay commission on invoices that have been paid and delivered, others pay commission when an invoice is simply raised. Based on the rules we will setup with you, the commission payable report will assist you in managing per period what needs to be paid. 

Commission Entries

Please note that if an error was made in choosing the wrong salesperson on the invoice and thereafter the salesperson was changed on the invoice before meeting the conditions of commission eg. paid and delivered, then the Commission Report would reflect the new salesperson. However when the conditions for commission have already been met i.e it was paid and delivered it is too far along in the process for the commission report to be able to reflect the updated salesperson. Nonetheless should you find yourself in this position, it can be fixed by going to Accounts > Commission Entries which allows you to transfer the commission from one salesperson to another, per screenshot below.

The commission entry also has a print option which you will be able to use if the permission for this is switched on.
