Sales Persons and Buyers

Setting up sales people and buyers is exactly the same except that the sales side of the system has more features based of the sales persons. For a matter of simplicity, we will only show you how to setup Sales Persons. The use of Sales Persons and Buyers is explaned in the General Sales and Procurement process and the Commission management section.

Creating a sales person/Buyer

Every sales person and buyer that is setup can be linked to a user within Augtool. This is normally done when there is actually a user that is also a sales person but if you want to simply record sales for a user that is not in the system then you can also create sales persons and buyers to flag on documents and draw reports on.

As you can see above you can also link sales persons (and buyers) to organisation groups. This will ensure that when a document is created for an organisation that is within that group the sales person or buyer will automatically be selected.

You can setup organisation groups under the System menu and assign organisations to the group. You can also assign sales persons and buyers to the group. 

Restrictions

Should you want your sales person or buyers to only see documents that they have created, please set your restrictions appropriately per user group under the system menu User groups as you can see above.
