Price Lists

Price lists are used in Augtool when you want certain customers or suppliers to be on special pricing, other than the prices set on the items themselves. The price lists are value based (not percentage at this stage) and are simple.

Price lists override the default price that is set on the Item. Should you add an item to a document such as a sales order and it belongs to a price list that is also linked to an organisation that you are transacting with, the price on the item will be overridden by the price on the price list. It is as simple as that.

We do not have hierarchical price lists and organisations cannot belong to two or more price lists. Should an organisation already belong to one price list and you create another price list and add that organisation to the new price list, it will be removed from the old price list. Please take note of this. If you were able to put an organisation on two price lists, there would be a conflict in pricing at this stage.

A price list needs a name and needs to be classified as a customer or supplier price list.

In this tab, you add items to the price list and you add a special price for that item. Should you wish to change the price of an item already added, simply repeat that process, click add and the system will overwrite the current price list.

On this tab, you link organisations to the price list. As mentioned before, you can only have an organisation on one price list. If you add an organisation to a price list and it already exists on another price list, it will be removed from the old one. Should you wish to remove an organisation from a price list (for now), please click on the organisation, navigate to the price list tab on the organisation and delete it from there.
