Warehouse Rules

There is a setting in Warehouse that allows to activate Rules. Once Rules are activated you will be able to set Rules such as "Allow" or "Deny" specific Items or Item Categories in a specific warehouse. This works similarly to how binning warehouse works.

This is useful should a there be specific items that would always need to go specific warehouses or if certain items should not be allowed in certain warehouse.

Example: In my screenshots below I set a Rule for Item Ap (apricots) to be Denied in warehouse Test. So when I tried to post a Purchase Order with that item in Test warehouse it gave an error message.

Default Warehouse on Item

• On the Item Rules a Default Warehouse has been added. It also allows 'no default' as an option on Default Warehouse. 

• This means that if you add the item to certain documents it will default to the warehouse you have set on the Item Rules. The documents that will pull the Default warehouse through are: Quotes, Sales Order, Sales Invoice, Purchase Order, Purchase Invoice.

• If the User has a Default Warehouse setup on their profile then that overrides the Item Default Warehouse.

• A new User Default for Recipe Template Warehouse was added so you can specify the default warehouse on the recipe template screen.

• NB: It's not on API yet.
