User Groups
The two User Groups you need to concern yourself with are Internal and Internal–Group user groups. You will need to create them and apply feature permissions to them before assigning one or many users to them.Â
Please note that all updates and new feature requests that get published to all clients and have access rights associated with them are not automatically available to Users. Any new feature, besides some enhancements to current features, will be unchecked in the User Groups section and will need to be applied by the Super User to gain access to it.
Data segregation is only currently applied for Quotes, Sales Orders and Sales Invoices. If a User belongs to a User Group that has data segregation set, they will only be able to see their documents created. Â
After creating the user group, you will then be shown a screen with check boxes to add permissions to the user group (see Internal and Internal group part of the guide). At a later stage, you will then assign users to user groups with different permissions.Â
All users will belong to one or more user groups. Each user group will show the permissions, restrictions and users associated with that user group. If you click on the User tab in a User Group, you will be able to view the different users for that User Group as well as the different business units the user has rights to in that user group. So from the user group you can assess the users in that group and from the users in the group you can jump to the User Groups, per screenshots below.
