Template Demands

Template Demands work in the background to inform Procurement that raw materials need to be replenished and to inform Production that more output products need to be produced. 

To create a Template Demand you will first need to link the Primary Output Product to a Recipe Template. In our example we have linked the Output Product Apricot Peach Blend to the Recipe Template also called Apricot Peach Blend. 

Should you want to sell a final product there are 2 ways to do this. 

1. You can create a Sales Order then add a recipe and do a production order and this will let Production know that they need to produce the output product. 

2. Sell the final product without adding a recipe. There might already be some output products that were produced and in stock and a sales person can sell this without a recipe. Should the sales person need to sell a higher quantity than what is in stock they will be able to do so if the output product has a negative minimum stock level set. In this case should the final product be linked to a Recipe Template then when the salesperson does a sales order without a recipe, a Template Demand will be created for the raw materials.

In Augtool, should some of the output products already be produced, the system will deduct this by adjusting it with what is already in the warehouse and applying the remainder that needs to be produced.

More than 1 Recipe:

Should you have 2 Recipes with the same output product, the system will create a demand on the raw materials for the recipe that has the linked product. 

For example, below are 2 Recipes Apricot Peach Blend and Apricot Peach Blend Honey. They both have the same Output product i.e Apricot Peach Blend. However the Output Product Apricot Peach Blend is linked to the Recipe Apricot Peach Blend. 

Therefore if the salesperson sells the final product Apricot Peach Blend without a recipe the system will create a demand on the raw materials for the recipe Apricot Peach Blend and not Apricot Peach Blend Honey, although both of them have the same output product, the output product is linked to the Apricot Peach Blend Recipe Template.
